Understanding the assessment

What the inspection
tells you.

It is an evidence-led snapshot of a watch at the time we assess it: what appears consistent, how it presents today and how its movement behaves under test.

01 / Condition

A condition snapshot,
not a sales grade.

Visible wear, refinishing, alignment and structural observations are documented as found. The aim is useful context—not a vague label such as “excellent”.

02 / Performance

Measurements need context.

Timing, amplitude and functions are considered against the movement, age and known service condition. Water resistance is stated only when an applicable test has been completed.

03 / Clarity

Technical findings,
made understandable.

A specialist translates the observations into purchase context, supported by condition notes and imagery, so you can judge the watch on evidence rather than assumption.

IdentityDo the reference, serial and component signatures tell a consistent story?

ConditionWhat wear, alteration or refinishing is visible today?

PerformanceHow does the movement behave during the completed tests?

EvidenceWhich notes and images support the specialist’s conclusion?

Important to knowAn inspection records present findings; it is not a lifetime guarantee against future wear or service needs.
